Look Ahead America Debunks Baseless 14th Amendment Lawsuit Against President Trump

Washington, D.C. – Look Ahead America (LAA) has once again debunked another false narrative against former President Trump. This time it involves a lawsuit filed by Palm Beach, Florida tax attorney and multiple game show contestant Lawrence Caplan invoking the 14th Amendment, which accused him of having “engaged in insurrection or rebellion.”

The offenses of either insurrection or rebellion fall under 18 US Code § 2383. To date nobody associated with arrests from the January 6th protests have been charged with these crimes.

Ian Camacho, LAA’s Director of Research stated:

Maybe Mr. Caplan, a repeat contestant on other game shows, resents that he did not pass the audition for The Apprentice. Instead of pretending that he understands constitutional law, he would be better off reading the related cases against not only former President Trump but also those of the other January 6th arrestees; Thus far none have received indictments for insurrection or rebellion as defined under 18 US Code § 2383.

When uninformed, trusting citizens believe everything that our weaponized Department of Justice – which has weaponized law repeatedly to target dissidents and political opponents of the current regime – then frivolous suits like this result.

We invite Mr. Caplan, the media, and the public to review our database, read the analysis of data, listen to The Political Prisoner Podcast and view the side that the media has failed to share.

LAA has a thoroughly searchable January 6 database: https://j6.LookAheadAmerica.org/j6
