LAA’s Braynard Responds to Dominion’s Legal ‘Assassins’

Washington DC – On February 11, Dominion Voting Systems’ lawyers sent a letter to Look Ahead America Executive Director Matt Braynard making several demands, including that he retracts statements about their voting machines.

Matt Braynard responded with the following statement:

The letter from Dominion’s attorneys, who on their own website describe themselves as ‘assassins,’ alleges that I claimed Dominion is responsible for voter fraud and irregularities in the 2020 general election. This is lie, and the lawyers never cite a specific example of such a statement. All of my work on election irregularities has focused on illegally cast ballots, and I’ve never made any allegations of fraud or irregularities against Dominion.

Their letter goes on to make many other false and misleading claims about my work and me personally. And while others have made accusations about their company, I never have, so I began to wonder, why would they send a letter like this to me?

But then, one of their sentences gives it all away: “We demand you retract calls to boycott Dominion.”

This letter from Dominion has nothing to do with my findings from the 2020 general election, but everything to do with Look Ahead America’s policy objective to ban the use of the black box voting equipment that Dominion sells for hundreds of millions of dollars to state and counties across the country.

Black box voting equipment runs on software and hardware that is a corporate secret and unavailable for examination by government officials and the public. For this principled reason and many others, Look Ahead America is leading the fight against its use in our elections, and our position has broad, bipartisan support and is backed by peer-reviewed science.

And this is the real reason why Dominion is coming after me— because they’re worried about their bottom line and their monopoly on US elections.

I am fortunate enough to be represented by one of our nation’s premier lawyers in this area, Harmeet Dhillon, and her team of expert attorneys, and they are determined to represent our cause. They’ve drafted a response letter that I’m happy to share with all of you.

But I also have my own, direct response to Dominion and their attorney ‘assassins’:

I’m not retracting anything. And I’m not going to stop speaking out.

If working for Donald Trump taught me anything, it’s that you never back down, you double down.

Banning black box voting equipment was number three of six election integrity reforms we’ve advocated. It just moved up to #1, and we will not rest until black box voting machines are removed from every election precinct in the country and replaced by open-source platforms that are transparent and demonstrably secure.

First up in our renewed effort is preventing the state of Louisiana from awarding its $100 million voting equipment contract to any black box vendor. Instead, we must insist that any new voting equipment meet the highest standards of transparency and open-source design. In the coming weeks, I will personally travel to Pelican state to organize bi-partisan and non-partisan allies and to rally like-minded activists to petition the legislature and request hearings to accomplish this goal.

To our supporters: if you’re interested in donating to help our legal and organizational efforts or volunteering to help us with our cause, please go to lookaheadamerica.org. Together, we can put black box voting equipment in the dumpster of election history alongside the poll tax.

Request for Ideas on Election Integrity Reform

Look Ahead America will be releasing our Patriot Action on Voter Integrity Reform on Monday, February 1, 2021. This effort will provide guidance, training, and organization to citizens of each state to advocate for these changes with their state legislatures.

We have assembled a team of experts in the field to help us develop our policy guidance, and we are eager to hear from you on what your ideas are for fighting for this reform. Please visit our page on Voter Integrity Reform to make your suggestions: https://lookaheadamerica.org/patriot-action-voter-integrity-reform/.

Announcement: LAA Receives Official 501c3 Certification

Today, LAA’s Executive Director Matt Braynard made the formal announcement:

“I am pleased that after several back-and-forths with the IRS, we have succeeded in receiving our certification as a 501c3 non-profit organization. This is a tremendous benefit in that it allows us to solicit donations with the assurance to our donors that the contributions are, indeed, tax free.

“While some organizations may struggle with the restraints that come with c3 status, we embrace them. Our primary objective to register, educate, and turnout disaffected, patriotic Americans is not beholden to any political party but to the idea of America where the border is secured, the law and order is enforced, and terrorist threats are crushed.”

Virginia Election: Look Ahead America’s Disaffected Patriot GOTV and Ballot Integrity/Poll Monitoring Efforts

Arlington, Virginia— Look Ahead America engaged in two efforts for the Virginia statewide election: turning out inactive, patriotic voters and monitoring polling places on Election Day.

“We engaged in a very experimental effort to turnout voters whom we identified as having patriotic beliefs but had not voted since 2009,” said Matt Braynard, LAA’s executive director. “We hit these people with a comprehensive package of direct mail, paid and volunteer phone calls, robocalls, social media ads, and door knocking to educate them on how and where to vote and why voting is so important.

“I knocked on many doors in the Northern Virginia area and met face-to-face with citizens who’d fallen into the cynical trap of believing their vote doesn’t matter. When the turnout data becomes available, we’ll be able to evaluate how effective our effort was so we can learn and adjust our efforts for future elections in other states.”

LAA’s poll monitoring operation received authorization from county boards of elections across the state to allow twenty-six volunteers to observe election day operations inside of polling places.

“Based on my own observations and the feedback from our poll watching team, I can say that, at least where we were present, the local election officials faithfully followed the lawful procedures,” said LAA’s Strategy Director Witold Chrabaszcz, who coordinated the operation. “We did observe a few occasions where polling staff could benefit from better education on the relatively recent voter ID laws. Nonetheless, they worked diligently to ensure the election laws were followed.”

“We’d like to thank the many volunteers who helped with our GOTV and poll monitoring effort,” said Braynard. “We’ll be announcing our next operation shortly and are counting on their help and the help of many more to make it a success.”

LAA Announces VA GOTV Effort is Underway

Look Ahead America, a 501(c)(3) founded by thirty-five former Trump campaign staffers, announces that GOTV operations are underway in Virginia targeting disaffected, patriotic voters.

This effort is a counter the millions being spent by George Soros-backed progressive organizations.

“Using psychometrics developed in partnership with L2, we’ve identified a universe of patriotic Americans who have not voted in general elections since 2009 but have been registered for at least that long,” said Matt Braynard, the organization’s executive director. “These are citizens who are routinely ignored by establishment organizations that unwilling to do the hard work of reaching out to them and even more reluctant to address their concerns on issues like immigration, sanctuary cities, refugees, trade, and economics.”

Through volunteer phone and door-to-door dialogue, social media targeting, and direct mail, we will engage these patriotic Americans with voter education and assistance with voting.

“We bring a new approach to an old problem, combining latest technologies with traditional tactics to reach this demographic.  With a custom mix of digital and traditional outreach, we see an opportunity here to reach this audience in a cost-effective way,” said Witold Chrabaszcz, the organization’s strategy director. “Registration and GOTV can be expensive; we are working with L2 and noted political field research academics to test and tune our program efficacy.”

The turnout-effort is being done in co-operation with noted political scientist Professor Donald P. Green of Columbia University to test the efficacy of various contact methods on an exceptionally low-propensity voter universe.

Additionally, Look Ahead America will be deploying a small army of poll watchers on Election Day. As non-profit, state-sanctioned election observers, they will help ensure ballot box integrity.

“The value of this operation goes beyond just the Virginia election,” said Braynard. “We will carry forward what we learn here about what works and what doesn’t to other states in 2018 and beyond.”

Look Ahead America is currently seeking volunteers who are interested in going door-to-door, making calls from home, or serving as poll monitors on Election Day, Tuesday, November 7.  Those interested my signup here: https://lookaheadamerica.org/vavolunteer.

Launch Week Media Roundup

We were successful in getting good media for our first week!

The New York Times: “Ex-Trump Aides Hunt for Untapped Voters, and Proof of Fraud.”

The Huffington Post: “Trump Campaign Alumni Start Group Focused On Voter Registration And Fraud.”

The Daily Beast: “Donald Trump Allies Push Legal Limits in Building the ‘ACORN of the Right’.”

Despite the left-wing leanings of these publications, the coverage was overall favorable. We were also featured on the nationally-syndicated Wayne Allen Root program, and you can give a listen here.
