LAA, CAPP File Formal Complaint with UN Human Rights Committee, Demand Sanctions Against Key Biden Administration Officials

Washington DC – At a press conference today at noon at the United Nations in New York, Look Ahead America and Citizens Against Political Persecution will present a joint letter to the United Nations Human Rights Committee to investigate and demand relief for the Biden Administration’s January 6 political prisoners.

From the complaint:

Today I write in support of basic human rights for a specific group of Americans who have been disparately and inhumanely treated by their government – singled out, imprisoned, and even physically abused – because of their political beliefs. As outlined herein, LAA has sought relief from several members of the United States government, as well as other U.S.-based human rights advocacy groups. We have been largely ignored, and human rights violations continue unabated, with no relief in sight. Those avenues exhausted, and in recognition of the United Nations’ long and prestigious history of human rights advocacy, we ask for your review and consideration of these prisoners’ plight.

Matt Braynard, Executive Director of Look Ahead America, made the following statement:

Not only do we urge the United Nations to investigate this abuse of human rights, but we ask that other governments hold US officials to the same standards US officials have held others around the world. Just as the US government has imposed sanctions on foreign leaders whom they allege have fallen short of international norms, we urge government around the world to impose travel restrictions and financial penalties against President Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and other US government officials who involved in this gross violation of human rights.

Cara Castronuova, Executive Director of Citizens Against Political Persecution, made the following statement:

We here at Citizens Against Political Persecution have been fighting for the January 6th detainees for months now. The government continues to unconstitutionally detain our fellow American citizens and we feel that submitting this letter to the United Nations is the next logical step towards justice. Hopefully the United Nations hears our plea, as we are the voices of the unheard political prisoners right now who are not able to speak for themselves.

LAA Releases Legislative Analysis of MI HB 4838

Today, Look Ahead America released its analysis of Michigan’s latest voter integrity legislation, H.B. 4838.

From the report:

There are concerns that H.B. 4838 will create confusion among voters3 and that this bill serves no purpose because electronic poll books and voting systems purportedly do not connect to the Internet. Evidence documented by NBC News, however, shows voting systems connected to the Internet in many states, including Michigan, which indicates that such concerns indeed have merit and a factual basis. This bill therefore would address concerns of voters wishing to maintain integrity of their elections, and, even if redundant, makes in no uncertain terms clear that the machines may not connect to the Internet during the election.

LAA’s Voter Integrity Project Releases Revised GA Report

We received helpful feedback from many of the organizations with whom we shared our unredacted data. Thanks to their help, we’ve made the following improvements to the report.

Find the new report in a downloadable PDF here.

The GA Report Revision A

Here are some of the key changes:

• We discovered that we under-reported in Tranche One by additional 345 illegal registrations, boosting the illegal votes in the margin of victory from 1,056 to 1,401, or up from 9% to 12%.

• We also added subdivisions and severity rankings of all the items in Tranche One in anticipation of counter arguments that these were transposed Mailing Addresses.

• We reviewed three of our challenged examples that we coded as illegally cast vote determinations. We provided additional data in Appendix A to show that these voters definitely lived out of state and did not qualify as absentee voters.

• The 2015 study that we cited and GA SOS Raffensperger’s recent removal of over 100,000 supposedly inactive voters using the NCOA validates our methodology. While the 2017 article we also cited for OOSSR does not mention NCOA, it actually fortifies our NCOA claims and methodology.

• We corrected MOE downward in Tranches Two and Three per a previous miscalculation.

• We reviewed some previously undetermined cases in Tranche Two. We determined that another twelve were illegally cast ballots, while determining three of them were legal.

• Upon reviewing our data that we collected, we believe that we actually underreported our findings. Since The Georgia Report only presented three of the six types of illegal votes being considered, it was more likely that the report understated the number of illegal votes in Georgia because our study was incomplete.

LAA Voter Integrity Project: 157,229+ Illegal Ballots Cast in Wisconsin

Washington DC – Today, Look Ahead America’s Executive Director Matt Braynard made the following announcement:

Today we are releasing our final Wisconsin Report demonstrating that the number of illegal ballots is – at a minimum – over 157,000. This is about eight times the 20,000 vote margin of victory in the presidential election.

This report is the product of the Voter Integrity Project (“VIP”), part of Look Ahead America’s Research Group. It builds on and supplements the initial analysis conducted by the VIP late last year and establishes beyond a reasonable doubt that the deserved winner of Wisconsin is unknowable.

We invite everyone to review the public version of the report at https://www.lookaheadamerica.org/wisconsinreport. We will also make the unredacted version with all of our supporting data available to journalists and academics who request access.

This report is the result of countless hours of work by our research volunteers under the leadership of our Research Director, Ian Camacho. For their help, I am truly grateful. I’m also grateful to the many donors to this project that funded the extraordinary data acquisition and processing costs.

LAA Ten-State Rally to #FreePoliticalPrisoners: An Important First Step

Washington DC – Today, Look Ahead America’s Executive Director made the following statement:

We relaunched this organization from scratch six months ago. To have been able to mobilize on a national level and hold ten near-concurrent rallies across the country to #FreePoliticalPrisoners is a remarkable achievement.

I am so proud of all of the brave patriots who participated in these rallies under the same threat to their rights of so many who are being held in prison now for a non-violent expression of their First Amendment rights. It required great courage participate in these rallies

And as so many are still being persecuted by the FBI, denied bail by a corrupt judiciary fed lies by our Department of Justice, and while the death of Ashli Babbitt remains uninvestigated, we have much to do.

Look Ahead America and its network of thousands of volunteers will continue to shine the light on this violation of civil rights, of human rights, and of basic decency. These actions are a stain on our nation, and we will not give up in the fight for justice for our brothers and sisters.

LAA Releases Autopsy of Pennsylvania’s Failed Voter Integrity Legislation (HB1300)

Washington DC – Today, Look Ahead America’s Research Group released a report analyzing HB 1300, the Pennsylvania State Legislature’s attempt at voter integrity reform that was vetoed by the governor.

HB 1300 was a massive bill and it moved through the legislature faster than the Research Group was able to complete the analysis. Because the legislation may eventually be the starting point of future efforts or a ballot initiative/state constitutional amendment, LAA believes there is value in sharing the analysis.

Three of Look Ahead America’s six public policy objectives are found in some form in the legislation:

• Requiring the use of the NCOA database to exclude voters who are no longer eligible to cast ballots.

• Requiring the use of open source voting equipment.

• Requiring the equal distribution throughout the state of private donations.

However, the bill also had some weaknesses. Namely, it did not require an ID to vote in person. An individual wishing to vote in person without any form of ID could cast a ballot by making up the last four digits of a Social Security number, and there was no requirement that election officials confirm that the numbers were correct.

And while it could do a better job implementing LAA’s objectives and had a lot of room to improve, it is a good start.
