Voting in Nevada: Key Dates and Official Resources

The general election is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Nevada mails a ballot to every active registered voter (unless they opted out). Return it by mail (postage prepaid) or at an official drop-off location, or vote in person during early voting or on Election Day.

Key Dates and Deadlines

  • Mail ballots sent to active voters: Automatically, with prepaid return postage. Opt-out deadline was Sept. 4, 2026. Contact your county if your ballot hasn't arrived
  • Early in-person voting: Saturday, October 17 – Friday, October 30, 2026 (hours and sites set by county)
  • Mail ballot request deadline: Not applicable for active registered voters, who are mailed ballots automatically
  • Mail ballot return: by mail: Postmarked on or before Tuesday, November 3, 2026 AND received by 5:00 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2026 (4th day after the election). A ballot with an unreadable postmark counts if received by 5:00 p.m. Nov. 6. Officials recommend mailing by about Oct. 27
  • Mail ballot return: drop-off: At any official ballot drop box or drop-off location, any early voting site during voting hours, or any Election Day vote center by 7:00 p.m., Nov. 3
  • Signature cure deadline: 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2026 (6th day after the election)
  • Election Day hours: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2026
  • ID requirements: Most registered voters do not need ID to vote this year. Some first-time voters who registered by mail or online may need ID
