Prior to that and with no idea of what would happen, Ian repaired machines, wrote basic training and technical manuals as a subcontractor at Smartmatic in Los Angeles, while writing and editing for Total Seminars. Rosalie Stafford, Yuma Field Director

Trained as a Humanities professor, Rosalie Stafford worked with the US Navy as a civilian shipboard instructor, serving in the Desert Storm theater and, later, on various deployed Navy ships and stateside bases. Fond memories include teaching on warships without the benefit of books or a blackboard or even chairs — class members sitting on ammo boxes, notebooks on their knees. Through these experiences, she learned how to develop and teach entire college courses without the luxury of textbooks, blackboards, or internet. A writer (history, popular science, murder mysteries) and publisher, she is a proponent of the simple life, living close to Nature, God’s Creation. Living under a Constitutional Republic offers people the most opportunity to live a creative life, the kind of life she believes our Creator intended for us.

Allison Hayes, Southern Arizona Deputy Field Director

Years of involvement in her local church and 4-H community have given Allison a greater understanding and appreciation for the term “community”. When the opportunity to educate, inform, and change that community for the better came through Team LAA, she dove right in. She attributes this “get up and go” attitude to her 4-H experience, saying that it was invaluable and that the skills she acquired are essential to success, both in the show ring and in daily life.
