LAA Releases Analysis of Pennsylvania Election Integrity Bills

Washington, D.C. – Look Ahead America’s (LAA) Research Group recently reviewed four bills from the state of Pennsylvania, all of them involving election integrity: S.B. 1, 127, 130 and 193.

LAA’s Director of Research, Ian Camacho, made the following statement:

All of these bills are great, and two of them incorporate Look Ahead America’s public policy objectives for election integrity. There’s nothing remotely controversial about any of them once you get past the hyperpartisan rhetoric.

Pennsylvania, and frankly no other state, has a valid excuse not to use voter identification in their elections. Studies show that people of all parties, races, and ethnicities overwhelmingly support voter ID in elections. The only people who oppose it do so because they want to remain in power by any means necessary.

Hopefully all these bills pass both chambers and Pennsylvanians vote these common-sense items into their constitution. If so, then more people will have more faith in their elections and participate in the democratic process as it will ensure fairness for all.
