Look Ahead America Praises GA for Banning Zuckerbucks, AR for Election Integrity Unit

Washington, D.C. – Look Ahead America (LAA) issued a celebratory statement regarding Georgia passing SB 222 last week. The law closes the so-called “Zuckerbucks” loophole previously allowed under SB 202.

LAA also praised Arkansas for its Election Integrity Unit within the Attorney General’s office for passing into law. The EIU now has legal authority to prosecute election fraud cases.

Ian Camacho, Director of Research, stated:

Both Arkansas and Georgia have done an excellent job in tightening up election integrity and to ensure that elections have a fairer outcome.

Keeping private, partisan donations out of state races will ensure that resources are fairly and evenly distributed. This will ensure that everyone in Georgia, regardless of county or political leaning, will have equal access to voting materials and opportunities.

Arkansas’ legally codified EIU in the AG’s office wisely avoids the mistakes of its predecessors in both Texas and Arizona. With the full authority to investigate and prosecute election fraud, it not only expedites the process, but more importantly it restores voter confidence and faith in the electoral process for those who have lost faith.
