Washington, D.C. – Look Ahead America (LAA) Research Group released its first legislation review for 2023. The team reviewed nine bills from the state of Texas, all of them involving election integrity: S.B. 117, 166, 220, 260, and H.B. 52, 222, 397, 499, and 549.
Matt Braynard, LAA Executive Director, made the following statement:
These nine bills, introduced by members of both parties, offer substantive election integrity improvements in Texas and voters should encourage their legislators to pass them.
While these bills aren’t perfect and there’s still work to be done, Texas is setting an example for the rest of the country to follow with this meaningful progress.
